Enjoy a full day tour while visiting the Port of Naples when you book a tour of Pompeii and the Amalfi coastline by private transport. Your English speaking driver will be a native of the region and can answer all of your questions and take you on the most scenic routes to your destinations. This day tour includes a short drive to the ancient Roman remains at Pompeii where you will have two hours to explore the amazing ruins of the town. This is followed by a short drive to Sorrento and Positano, two beautiful towns on the delightful Amalfi coast. Your return to the Port of Naples will be scheduled to tally with the times needed for embarkation.

Your day begins with a 45 minute drive to the ruins of the Roman town of Pompeii. You will have two hours to spend exploring the excavations and a private tour guide is an optional extra you may wish to book so you get the utmost advantage from the time spent in Pompeii. This is followed by a 45 minute drive to the beautiful Amalfi coastline town of Sorrento, where you'll have an hour to explore and soak up the cosmopolitan atmosphere. Sorrento is famed for its production of the liqueur limoncello, so you may wish to sample this delightful beverage while spending time visiting this resort. Your driver will then transfer you to the village of Positano, an exquisite former fishing village surrounded by high peaks. You get to spend 45 minutes experiencing the delights of Positano before transferring back to the Port of Naples to join your cruise liner.

Meet us at the port

Your excursion will start at Naples Port where your driver will collects you directly at the pier below your ship.
He will be holding a board that’s printed with your name so you’ll spot him easily. You can expect to be taken on the most scenic routes through the Pompeii and the Amalfi coast, your driver will regale you with some of its interesting history.
